Client Relationship Team Leader

Location: Sheffield and remote

Hours: Full time, permanent

Salary: £23,000 - £25,000 DOE

The role

A strong background and experience in account management is essential whilst also having the desired skills that can be demonstrated to be a successful team leader. As the team leader you will responsible in supporting both the team and Head of Department to ensure the team and business objectives are achieved.

The role will be a 80/20 split with 80% of the role focusing on the day to day management of the team and 20% of the role will be to then focus on tasks and responsibilities assigned by the Head of Client Relations.

The person

You will be a clear communicator with strong organisational skills who is self-motivated and inspires confidence. You will achieve your goals through involving and working with others, within and outside of the team, respecting their views and always acting within HS Direct’s values.

Working remotely at times, strong computer based technical skills are essential for the efficient use of software and systems facilitating customer support.

Key responsibilities:

  • Leading, coaching, and monitoring the performance and quality of the Client Relationship Team ensuring high standards are achieved and maintained.
  • Ensuring that the Internal Departmental KPI’s are achieved whilst maintaining the high standards and quality of work to positively impact the client journey.
  • Working cross-functionally with internal departments to adopt new ways of working with internal teams and continuing to build positive internal relationships with colleagues.
  • Directly supporting the Client Relationship Team whether that be through coaching, 1-2-1’s, general queries and other requirements potentially needed to support the business needs and objectives.
  • Potential escalation point for the Client Relationship Team with either internal queries or client queries.
  • Finding new ways of working within the team, ensuring our core objectives as a department and a business are met.
  • Development of your own skills to continually enhance your own knowledge and ability to effectively support the Client Relationship Team which will also be supported by your Team Manager.
  • Development of internal training and support through the induction process to ensure the Client Relationship Team continually achieve high standards of work whilst meeting business objectives and internal KPI’s.
  • Involvement within the recruitment process when hiring new team members.
  • Conducting regular team meetings as the team leader whether that be in a training and support format or to roll-out processes and objectives.
  • To be a true department and brand ambassador to have a continued positive impact on both clients and internal colleagues.
  • Ownership of management duties when the Head of Client Relations is absent.
