Following an autumn surge in COVID-19 cases, Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced a series of further, stricter restrictions across England.
From Thursday 5 November through to 2 December all non-essential businesses must close, those who are able to work from home are being encouraged to do so and the furlough scheme is being extended until March 2021.
