Last year saw Parliament pass seven Private Members Bills designed to introduce various new employment rights and obligations. This year will see the implementation of these new rules, many coming into force in April 2024.

In addition to this, in November 2023 the government published draft regulations introducing new rules
on holidays and other measures. These were passed in late December 2023 and came into force on
1 January 2024.

The scale of these changes makes it really hard for business owners to stay on top of their obligations.
