Health & Safety Inspection Toolkit: Must-haves For Business Owners

As a business owner, you could face an unannounced spot check from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).

If the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) inspect your business and find you are in material breach of Health & Safety Law, Fee for Intervention (FFI) is what you have to pay for the time it takes them to identify the issues and put things right – and it’s went up to £166 an hour from 1 April 2023!

HSE inspections could involve everything from assessing relevant documents and checking whether risk controls are effective to observing workplace activities, conditions and practice, identifying any breaches of the law, and considering appropriate enforcement.

To make sure you’re prepared and operating safely, we’ve put together a selection of our resources, including:

  • Accident Reporting checklist
  • Risk Assessment Template
  • Method Statement Template
  • Manual Handling Risk Assessment
  • Working at Height Risk Assessment
  • COSHH template

Simply leave your details on the form on this page and you’ll receive our free inspection toolkit direct to your inbox!
